Thematic School on Small-Angle X-ray and Neutron Scattering

Conference organization (12/06/2026)

ICSM

The Thematic School on Small-Angle X-ray and Neutron Scattering, held from June 9 to 12, 2026, at ICSM, brought together 24 participants and 5 lecturers from various research centers (ISCR Rennes, ILL Grenoble, ISTO Orléans, SYENSQO, CIRIMAT Toulouse, CEA Grenoble, ICSM Marcoule, CEA Saclay, among others) in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere.

The primary objective of the school was to provide participants with training in the theoretical principles of scattering techniques, their practical implementation, data processing, and data interpretation through a combination of lectures and hands-on sessions.

The second objective was to offer participants the opportunity to introduce their research through short presentations, engage in extensive discussions, and express their characterization needs. This created a valuable forum for exchanges with the specialists present and fostered the initiation of new collaborations between research teams. Given the strong interest and the large number of requests received, a new edition of the school is planned for June 2029.
