The team conducts fundamental research with practical applications. Its work mainly focuses on improving the current and future nuclear fuel cycle (upstream and downstream), but also covers non-nuclear areas where dissolution and reprocessing stages can pose technological challenges. This research is clearly multidisciplinary, involving materials science (synthesis-sintering-characterization), interface chemistry (solid/solid and solid/liquid), solution chemistry, and radiochemistry. To carry out these studies, the laboratory has researchers and teacher-researchers with diverse and complementary skills.
