ICSM researcher wins CEA "3 minutes for an invention" competition

ICSM researcher Matthieu Virot took 1st place on the podium in the 2024 edition of the CEA "3 minutes for an invention" challenge, the final of which was held on June 21, 2024 in Paris. He won this 2024 edition with his "Separation process for recycling platinum metals used in catalytic converters in the automotive industry". With his colleagues, Matthieu helped develop an original method for recovering precious metals from catalytic converters in thermal cars, using ascorbic acid, more commonly known as vitamin C.
