Activités de recherche

Since December 2012 CNRS Research fellow (CR2) in inorganic chemistry at ICSM

Focused on the study of the chemical durability of the spent nuclear fuel and the conditioning matrices from the reprocessing to the final storage

  • Synthesized and characterized actinide (Th, U) silicate-, oxide-, and phosphate-based compounds,
  • Performed sintering and dissolution/leaching experiments.

November 2011 – December 2012
Postdoctoral researcher in the Prof. Ibers Research Group (Northwestern University, USA)
  • Performed exploratory high-temperature solid-state synthesis of actinide chalcogenide materials,
  • Determined structures via single crystal X-ray diffraction,
  • Measured magnetic, optical, and electronic properties.

November 2010 – October 2011 Researcher scientist at ICSM
  • Performed multi-parametric studies of the dissolution of lanthanide and actinide oxides.

November 2008 – October 2010
Research Engineer at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA, France)
  • Investigated 14C and 36Cl radionuclide immobilization in cement-based matrices.
